Christopher graduated from Brighton Polytechnic in 1989 with a BA Honours degree in 3 Dimensional Design.

Since 1998 Christopher has specialised in metal garden sculpture. Each piece is designed and individually made in steel by Christopher in his forge and then galvanised for a weather durable finish and finally hand patinated. Christopher also produces a range of bronze sculptures. His inspiration and style stem from observing everyday life to create lively and quirky large scale sculptures.

Christopher has exhibited and sold his work both in the UK and abroad and now shows at The Chelsea Flower Show annually, where he will be exhibiting some new sculpture designs.

The sculptures are Western Red Cedar, remnants of the early 20th Century lumber industry, reclaimed from the lakes of Western Canada. They have been immersed in water for over 70 years since the forested valleys were flooded to produce reservoir lakes for hydro-electricity.

The sculptures formed naturally over time due to exposure to the elements and from floating on the lakes' surfaces. Gently rubbing against the shoreline and buffeting into each other, caused the creation of their smooth surfaces and unique shapes. Awarded "SmartWood Rediscovered" certification and containing natural preservatives, Driftwood Sculptures are ideal for use as unique garden features. >
