Michael Speller studied at Chelsea College of Fine Art and
is now working from his studio close to Tate Modern at The
Sculpture Academy in London. Over recent years he has created
a series of bronze sculptures for both internal and external
spaces. His work is now shipped all over the world to destinations
within Europe, USA and the Southern Hemisphere
In his work Mike draws heavily from his own personal experiences,
presenting his interpretation of the human condition. Our
environment, our families, our neighbours, and the society
we live in – all are interlinked and interdependent. As he
explores the balance between conflicting forces and emotions,
his work flows with a positive energy and enthusiasm for life.

Jan Sweeney's sculptures are instantly recognisable, with
tremendous energy and movement, strong texture and trademark
hollow eyes, a compelling feature of her hares, big cats and
African wildlife, Lost Wax Bronzes are suitable for house,
patio or garden. Special commissions undertaken for miniature
to monumental. She is a member of the Society of Animal Artists
USA, an associate member of Royal British Sculptors, and a
Fellow of the Wildlife Art Society.
I have been inspired by watching animals in their natural
habitat, especially in the untouched wilderness which is still
to be found in Africa. There the unwary die, so that even
when the animals are at rest they are ready to flee. It is
the untamed strength and power, always ready to explode into
movement, which excites me

Natural Driftwood Sculpture
Sunburst House, Elliott road, Bournemouth
01202 578275 Fax: 01202 593270
www.driftwoodsculptures.co.uk
Email: info@driftwoodsculptures.co.uk
The sculptures are Western Red Cedar, remnants of the early
20th Century lumber industry, reclaimed from the lakes of
Western Canada. They have been immersed in water for over
70 years since the forested valleys were flooded to produce
reservoir lakes for hydro-electricity.
The sculptures formed naturally over time due to exposure
to the elements and from floating on the lakes' surfaces.
Gently rubbing against the shoreline and buffeting into each
other, caused the creation of their smooth surfaces and unique
shapes. Awarded "SmartWood Rediscovered" certification and
containing natural preservatives, Driftwood Sculptures are
ideal for use as unique garden features. >
