John Gilbert exhibited at Chelsea for the first time this year and won a bronze medal for his Chic garden, 'Work, Rest and Play'. A modern city garden using traditional materials such as brick, wood and roof shingles, it attracted a huge amount of attention amongst visitors to the show.
An established designer, with 10 years' experience, John designs, builds and plants gardens of all sizes in a wide range of styles. Based in London, he works in the UK and the United States. He also lectures in garden design and holds the Royal Horticultural Society's prestigious Diploma in Horticulture.
